The mysterious world of MONICA CROESE

21.6.10

In progress: Requiem for a lost innocence

I've been working on this drawing lately and the story grows. I'm very contented with it so far. Thoughts and feelings are formed on the blanc paper, whispering about fear, passion, love and hope. All the mysteries of human kind. All their secrets and dreams. Beyond good and evil......

Oh, Monica! I saw this and my heart skipped a beat. There are shades of Picaso's Guernica, Bosch's nightmares, and the uniquness that is you all rolled into one. I am in love with this...the boldness of the red gives it a sense of urgency and horror.

Yes, Caio is right, it's my nature to worry about the people that I care about. I know what it's like to live with an artist's mind, and it's not always plesant. I've learned over the years to harness negative and dark energy and make good of it. I am glad that you are okay and are doing well. I was just making sure ;)

You have made my evening a good one. Thank you!

Take care, my sweet friend,
Brian

Brian is so right - Guernica, Bosch, and uniquely you - what a vision, what a work!!! ah, a little dash of Munch, i see, peeking out from under an elbow

a lost Eden, you map the Fall from innocence and grace to brutality and pain - a diseased society entangled in a barb-wire of self-seeking pleasure and violence, blind and mute to the corruption in its midst

quite breathtaking, prophetic, beautiful, chilling

Wow Momo,
This artwork has grown. It is very powerful work. I love it!:)
I could see this painted huge on a wall in a public place, for all to see!
It reminds me of the Guernica painting by Pablo Picasso. I don't know why. Maybe because of the strong figures depicted.
Love,
Jo.xx

So interesting to me that you say, beyond evil, as on first look, it does appear sinister in its way. And so it is with life and love and death, I suppose. Very strong imagery - I can not turn away.
